  This place is a gem. The service is TOP NOTCH. The food is fantastic. And the prices are soooo reasonable.
  
  Calamari had a bit of a kick. Kids couldn't eat it but the adults loved it. The sauce it comes with is amazing.
  
  Shrimp are amazing too. Everyone loved the appy
  
  Linguine pescadore was amazing. The noodle must be made in house. Soooo good.
  
  The pizzas are to die for. One of the best in the city. We had several types in our party. Jury is out which was the best because they were all sooo good.
  
  Gnocchi was perfect. Quite the portion.
  
  Lasagna was amazing. Licked the plate clean.
  
  Eggplant parm was a success too. Women loved it.
  
  Espresso was even good. My gosh I had a second for how good it was.

  I'm addicted to pasta, completely about that carb life, I've been longing for a really solid pasta place generally in Toronto. I had a conversation with a really good friend about this situation and they recommended momma martinos, I was told great flavor, great portion sizing and outstanding service, coming from a friend who is from the motherland of Italy, I didn't take this recommendation lightly. I thought great, something local and that's in the neighborhood and I really trust this persons opinion, and still do, even IF this visit went south. Before I talk about my experience I just want to say that in the 5+ years of living in this neighborhood, I've never not seen this place packed with zero parking spots directly available and a line up outside of the door, my experience was no different. After fighting to find a spot for ten minutes, I managed to find one and we proceeded to wait in line to enter the establishment. In the 20 minutes in waiting in line, we constantly had people pass by us, which I thought was really unusual because these people weren't grabbing food and coming back out. So after the timing we finally got to the front of the line up, and the server asks us if we wanted dine in or take out, so we respond with take out, and she explains to us that we could have skipped the line and went straight to the bar...ok, good to know for next time. We get to the bar and the lady behind the bar proceeds to explain to us that it's a 45-60 minute wait for a take out order and we had to order a minimum amount of food, after an exhausting conversation we decided to wait it out and order the food, next thing we know we have our food in 15-20 minutes, the lady behind the bar proclaimed that she sold her first born to "get it done" for us, Awkward but ok...thanks. When we got home I was absolutely ready to destroy this food and enjoy it to the fullest. The pasta was ok, very plain flavors with the sauce and the portion size was ok as well, to put things into perspective I ordered two different pasta dishes and I was barely full, I also was not impressed with the "fake parmesan" like the stupid kraft stuff, not the true Parmigiano-Reggiano I was expecting. In short I was left with a full stomach, but my craving was not satisfied and I was left frustrated from everything before I even spoke to a single person at this place. Dare I say that I would label this as a no frills pasta joint, and this is a comment on the pasta only, as that's all that I had, the environment is very warm but also pretty loud with everyone talking and laughing
  If you would like to fight with the parking, and the long line up then this place is for you, they don't take reservations either which I think is a huge downside for them in my honest opinion, but they have been around forever, so im going to assume that it works for them. The staff here are extremely awkward and seem to lack in the communication department as well, telling a customer that you helped them out by selling their first born is extreme awkward to hear, sometimes customer service doesn't need explanations like that.
  Parking options are very limited as this place shares a plaza with a couple of other stores, also there is parking, behind the building and down the road as well, but very limited as well.
  Transit options are the 76B royal york, the 80 queensway but directly, and the 76a with a bit of a walk.

  Classic in Etobicoke! Love the food, staff are always great, and I love how they hire lots of young kids looking for summer jobs! My only complaint is that the menu hasn't changed, and they don't have risotto! I get it's like a family run, don't change the menu kinda thing but I think adding a few things would be good (like risotto) which is a Italian classic!

  I've been here a couple times and it never fails to disappoint!  Absolutely adore Mama Martino's!
  
  When I want real homemade, Italian food, this is my go to place!  There pastas are simple but yet have so much flavour.  I am not a pizza person (I know I'm not normal), but I can't deny there pizzas are delicious!  
  
  My absolute favourite is there Chef's Salad.  It's basically a pesto dressing on a bed of lettuce.....super simple but it just has so much flavour.  If you do come here, I definitely recommend you try this.
  
  NOTE:  It does get super busy during dinner time, and the line can get really long.  Not sure if they take reservations, but try and arrive early so you can grab a seat asap.  Trust me you won't regret it! ;)

  My first time at Mama Martino's was a hit!
  The restaurant was much bigger than i would have thought, which is great as I assumed we would be smooshed in like other smaller family style establishments.
  The menu was slightly overwhelming as there was so much to choose from, all of it sounded delicious and was so well priced.
  
  I settled on a panzerotto. It was huuuuuge. I ate the whole thing. I couldn't stop. My friends all ordered the pasta, which also looked good.
  The menu didn't have a single item that cost more than $16. How could you go wrong?
  
  My only gripe, and its a small one, is that they do not do separate bills.
